📝 Year 4 Kenning Poetry 🐾

This week, our Year 4 children have been working hard on kenning poems, using imaginative two‑word phrases instead of naming the animal directly.

They’ve explored powerful word choices, compound nouns and vivid imagery to bring their poems to life – with some fantastic creative results! 🌟

We’re so proud of the thought, effort and originality they’ve shown in their writing.

🌍🏠 Year 5 Geography in action! 🏠🌍

Our Year 5 pupils have been exploring tectonic plates, learning how earthquakes happen and the impact they can have on communities around the world. Using this knowledge, they became engineers for the day – designing, building and testing model houses to see which structures could best withstand seismic movement.

Fantastic teamwork, problem-solving and resilience on display. A brilliant mix of geography, science and real-world thinking! 👏⭐
